Piano

I'm currently locked in a bidding war for a piano. A CTK-3400SK Keyboard to be precise. Hopefully I win, because I've decided I want to relearn how to play the piano. As a kid, my mum taught me the basics, and I got about as far as 'london bridge is falling down'. So, you know. Not very far. But it's a start, right? I (basically) know how to read music sheets so I'm far ahead of most people. I want to sit in my room and absolutely butcher my favourite tunes...

Recently I've been struggling a bit to keep up with my goals. Left to my own devices, I tend to waste a lot of time on flights of fancy, lazing around watching youtube videos and flitting between interests. To avoid this natural state I set aims for myself - for example, to watch 100 movies a year, and to read 50 books a year. Having hit both of these goals, I've become pretty complacent. My poor Japanese textbook is rotting in the lounge room waiting for me to do grammar drills, but I don't wannaaaaaaaa.

I've also been thinking a little about where I'm taking this website. I'd like to add more shrines and movie pages, as well as add a link to my new Bluesky account. I'm firmly NOT using it for endless scrolling, and instead purely for posting art via a post scheduler so I don't even have the temptation of getting stuck scrolling. Hopefully I pop off and become the next Da Vinci.
